A nine-member Board of Directors (each elected to serve 3-year terms), is charged with implementing the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions established through a majority vote of the Members. Among other duties, the Board also: submits an annual budget to the Members, establishes policies to serve the needs of the community, and hires a General Manager to provide for the effective and efficient operation of Kala Point.
The Board facilitates substantial community involvement and engagement in policy development through open meetings and a dozen committees (plus occasional ad-hoc committees). Board Reps and Alternates are assigned to each committee to assure communication on topics that matter to the community.
